Training and capacity building for local administrators
From January 29-31, 2026, the first internship of the first national edition of the European Academy Program (EAP) – Italy 2025-2026, promoted by national AICCRE with the scientific and educational contribution of ISIG, was held in Fiumicino, Italy.
The program involved 31 local administrators from all over Italy, engaged in two intensive days dedicated to good governance, democratic leadership, participation and institutional capacity. Activities included hands-on exercises, real-world case analyses and moments of discussion to foster shared learning and the development of strategic skills for managing territories.
Key themes and objectives
The first national edition of the EAP aims to strengthen the capacity of local institutions to address contemporary challenges by promoting:
- Leadership and soft skills
- Project management and organizational development
- European vision and multilevel cooperation
The training offered considers capacity building not as a secondary activity, but as a structural investment for the future of the territories.
Upcoming appointments
The course will continue with the second internship, March 19-21, 2026 at Lake Garda, exploring topics such as organizational resilience, European funding opportunities and strategic partnerships.
ISIG is proud to contribute to this initiative, supporting the training of public administration professionals and promoting the sustainable and strategic development of Italian territories.
