European Academy Programme
European Academy Program (EAP) is a training program that stems from the need to strengthen the organizational capacity and skills of managers and staff of organizations, whether public or private.
EAP aims to develop a process of strengthening the skills, knowledge, and capacities needed to address challenges and promote effective and sustainable development through interactive training, supporting effective resource planning and management, and facilitating discussion on the topics covered with a view to strengthening capacity bulding practices.
Designed to strengthen the leadership and organizational innovation capacities of public authorities and civil society organizations, this tailor-made service is designed to support both individual organizations aiming to improve management effectiveness and efficiency, and formal and informal groups wishing to work together to address shared challenges and promote sustainable development in their communities.

Innovative training program
EAP grew out of ISIG’s long experience in developing and implementing the Council of Europe’s Leadership Academy Program (LAP) for local governments in the 46 member states.
Starting in 2022, thanks to the collaboration with AICCRE FVG and under the auspices of the Council of Europe, ISIG has coordinated and implemented training aimed at local administrators in Friuli Venezia Giulia. In 2024, EAP FVG was born, an opportunity aimed at the municipalities of Friuli Venezia Giulia, offering European training of excellence aimed not only at strengthening the skills of local authorities through innovative training paths, but also at integrating participants into international partnerships, facilitating the implementation of concretely fundable projects.
Methodology: an interactive and participatory approach
ISIG’s methodology is distinguished by a dynamic and interactive approach centered on the active involvement of participants. Our methodology is based on a few key principles:
– Collaborative learning: participants are involved in workshops and seminars that encourage interaction and sharing of experiences, creating a collective learning environment based on discussion and cooperation.
– Hands-on approach: training includes exercises and simulations that enable immediate application of the knowledge gained.
– Innovative tools: training integrates the use of advanced tools, strategic planning methodologies, resource management and organizational leadership.
– Customization and adaptability: each course is constantly customized and adapted according to the specific needs of participants to maximize the impact of training activities.
The goals of the program
Good Democratic Governance
We improve the capacities of Local Governments to promote effective and transparent democratic governance by implementing techniques to increase citizen participation in local life.
Organizational Leadership
We enhance leadership skills to better manage teams and colleagues, improving operational efficiency at the local level.
Design and Resilience
We provide concrete tools for strategic planning and development of initiatives that increase the resilience of communities to emerging challenges.
International Partnerships
We promote cross-border and international cooperation, creating learning networks and partnerships to develop successful projects.
Tools and play
The program uses role-playing, simulations and board games as training tools to stimulate experiential learning and encourage active involvement of participants. These methodologies make it possible to explore complex organizational dynamics, develop interpersonal and decision-making skills, and experience the principles of good democratic governance in a concrete way. The playful and immersive approach helps translate abstract concepts into operational practices, promoting deep reflection through doing.
The structure of EAP
EAP targets public and private organizations. The training consists of workshops and seminars designed to develop leadership skills, financing strategies and resilience. This training is residential and spread over 3 appointments, expecting a maximum number of 25 participants.
