From March 19 to 21, 2026, in the picturesque setting of Lake Garda and favored by inviting spring weather, the second internship of the first national edition of the European Academy Program (EAP) – Italy 2025-2026, promoted by national AICCRE with the scientific and educational contribution of ISIG, was held.
The meeting brought together local administrators from different Italian regions for three days of training and discussion dedicated to the development of more dynamic public organizations capable of dealing with the transformations affecting territories.
Through working sessions, exercises and discussion moments, participants delved into useful tools and approaches to strengthen the strategic capacity of local governments and improve the effectiveness of decision-making processes.
Internship topics
The second round of the track focused specifically on some areas central to the functioning of public organizations and the quality of local governance:
- organizational culture and communication in public administration
- performance and risk management tools for local authorities
- scenario building and strategic planning
- Civic participation and citizen involvement in local policies
The activities favored, as usual, a practical and participatory approach, encouraging discussion among participants and reflection on the concrete challenges facing local governments.
The journey continues
The program will continue May 14-16 in Bologna with the third and final internship of the training course, which will further explore skills and tools useful for strengthening local governance and the responsiveness of institutions to ongoing changes.
ISIG contributes scientific and educational support to the program, providing expertise and experience gained in research, training and institutional strengthening.
