Cross-border exercise GOin4SAFETY

The initiative aims to improve preparedness and coordination in emergency management, with a focus on seismic risk, related chain risks such as landslides and fires, accidents involving hazardous materials, and climate change-related disasters such as forest fires, floods and the like. The programme includes:

• Seminars and training for municipal staff, volunteers, students and citizens.
• Exercise for command posts with simulation of critical events.
• Field exercise in the cross-border area between Italy and Slovenia and with the involvement of teams from Croatia, Austria and Germany.

Where and when?

Key locations: Gorizia, Nova Gorica, Šempeter, Vrtojba and other operational sites between Italy and Slovenia

Dates: 5-8 June 2025 – Field exercise with over 500 participants, as well as activities to raise public awareness of the risks in the area and simulation with students.

Who will participate?

Civil protection, security forces, voluntary organisations, local authorities and international partners, for a total of over 500 participants.
