CELEBRATORY EVENT

FONDO GORIZIA
50TH ANNIVERSARY

HALF A CENTURY OF GROWTH 1975-2025

FEBRUARY 12 - 13, 2026

The Venezia Giulia Trieste Gorizia Chamber of Commerce celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Fondo Gorizia with two days of events hosted in the city of Gorizia, designed to enhance a heritage that belongs to the territory and its community.

The celebrations will open on Thursday, February 12, with a classical music concert by the TriesteVerdi Theater Orchestra in the evocative setting of the Church of St. Ignatius. An event open to the citizenship, which from 7 p.m. will offer a cultural experience of great intensity in a place rich in history and atmosphere.

On Friday, Feb. 13, at 3:30 p.m., the Sala Verdi at Palazzo De Bassa will host a celebratory conference dedicated to the Gorizia Fund. A moment of insight and discussion, with the participation of authorities and industry representatives, to reflect on the value of the Fund and its deep connection with the economic fabric of Gorizia.

During the meeting, the publication dedicated to the Fondo Gorizia, edited by ISIG, which traces half a century of history and analyzes the Fund’s impact on local development, will be presented.

An event that brings together culture, memory and community, interweaving music and reflection on the territory.
The celebration of fifty years thus becomes a renewed commitment: to guard a solid legacy, capable of looking to the future with vision and responsibility.

Continuity that generates development

The evolution of the Gorizia Fund

The Fondo Gorizia, established in 1975 by the Chamber of Commerce at a critical time for the Gorizia area, was created as a stable tool to support economic development andinnovation. In its early years it encouraged industrial reconversion, the strengthening of SMEs and the growth of new activities, becoming a link between institutions and businesses.

Since the 1990s, the Fondo Gorizia has expanded its mission, integrating issues such as sustainability, environmental quality, education and social cohesion, adapting to economic changes and European integration.

Over time, this economic instrument, has become not only a benchmark for the progress of the area, but also an institutional laboratory, capable of responding quickly to crises, from the pandemic to the most recent financial difficulties.

Its evolution reflects the shift from economic to sustainable development, now assessed in its economic, social and environmental dimensions.

The celebration of 50 years thus becomes a renewed commitment: to keep alive a heritage that, strong in its roots, looks to the future with foresight.
