The MSP4BIODIVERSITY (NBFC-Spoke2-A4) project, of which CNR-ISMAR is the coordinator, is a research project funded by the European Union through the Next Generation EU fund with the objective of promoting the integration of biodiversity into maritime spatial processes and plans and fostering solutions and actions to protect marine biodiversity and ecosystems. The research activities aim to directly inform the Italian maritime spatial process and plans, which are in the process of being approved and soon to be implemented, monitored and adapted
ISIG is supporting CNR-ISMAR in the design and implementation of a participatory pathway for the involvement of stakeholders and experts in the maritime sector, in the development and validation of future sea use scenarios in three pilot areas (Northern Adriatic, Northern Tyrrhenian and Strait of Sicily).
