Description: Start Learning Cities UP is a strategic partnership aimed at positioning lifelong learning as a key element for regional and international development. The main goal is to actively promote an inclusive learning culture. After Trieste was designated a Learning City by UNESCO in July 2020, the goal was clear: to integrate lifelong learning into regional policies. This represents not only a transformation for cities, but an evolution involving the entire Region, focusing on interactive and technological experiences to develop new skills. The goal is to create a deep connection between municipalities, with a focus on early involvement in our Region, by sharing ideas and practices. The aspiration is to transform cities into vibrant centers of knowledge and inspiration, a goal reinforced by international recognition as “European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica – Gorica 2025.” This project represents a vision for a future in which lifelong learning is the engine of growth and development, underscoring our commitment to transform cities into centers of knowledge and inspiration, promoting community connections and encouraging positive change.
