Content: Europe’s eastern border becomes an important target of interests and research from the perspectives of sociology, philosophy, economics and political science. The articles presented in this issue of the journal introduce to difficult but interesting problems of Polish-Belarusian, Polish-Lithuanian and Polish-Ukrainian cross-border and border relations. Europe, now grappling with the global financial crisis, after its solution will have to be involved in deeper cooperation with its eastern neighbors. The future of Europe will depend on the solutions adopted in the field of cross-border partnership relations, neighborhood policies, and the main role that the Eastern Partnership will play as a tool to influence and encourage partners to cooperate.
