Biodiversity Week as part of. GO! 2025 City of Parks and Bees: a festival dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of urban biodiversity, with a focus on the role of bees and ecosystem services in cities.

On Friday, September 5, ISIG took part in the forum “Let’s Design Together the Biodiverse City of the Future,” organized in collaboration with the University of Udine, the University of Trieste, the University of Nova Gorica, the Natural History Museum of Trieste, the Municipality of Gorizia, the Municipality of Nova Gorica, Legambiente, and EGTC GO.

During the initiative, ISIG led a participatory workshop that saw strong involvement from those in attendance. More than 35 people actively contributed by bringing ideas, priorities and proposals, turning the meeting into an authentic moment of sharing. The variety of perspectives and enthusiasm of the participants enriched the discussion, confirming how building greener, more inclusive and resilient cities is a goal widely felt by the community.

The activity, hosted in a green space in Victory Square, highlighted the value of direct citizen participation in defining a common vision for the urban future: a sustainable, nature-conscious, climate-friendly and socially accessible city.
