On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, the final workshop of the CONNECT – Cooperative networks for cross-border engagement, climate adaptation and territorial resilience project, funded by the RESILIENT BORDERS: cross-border spatial planning & crisis management program and organized by EGTC GO in cooperation with ISIG, was held at Borgo Gradis’ciutta.
The well-attended and richly contributed meeting was attended by representatives of local authorities, first responders, health company, voluntary associations, and social promotion entities. During the day, participants validated the strategies developed in the previous months, discussing in particular two key areas: health emergencies and cross-border cooperation and natural resources and environmental crises.
In the thematic groups, needs, priorities and possible joint actions emerged, resulting in concrete proposals both for outreach activities planned in the coming months and for new joint projects between Italy and Slovenia.
The meeting confirmed how essential it is to strengthen collaboration across borders to address climate and social challenges affecting the region in a shared way. A path that lays a solid foundation for building a common and lasting resilience capable of protecting and enhancing the local communities of today and tomorrow.
