EDURES toolkit: more than 100 students involved between Tolmezzo and Cividale del Friuli

The four-day EDURES Toolkit training cycle, which involved more than 100 male and female students from four high schools between Tolmezzo and Cividale del Friuli, has recently concluded. It was an intense and participatory course designed to strengthen educational and community resilience through workshop activities, presentations and serious games.

An educational experience combining theory and practice

During the meetings, girls and boys were able to confront scenarios of crisis and change, experimenting with response strategies and useful tools to understand how schools-and communities as a whole-can better organize themselves in emergency situations.
The EDURES Toolkit, developed specifically to support schools and territories in dealing with complex risks, proved to be a concrete opportunity to promote soft skills, collaboration and awareness.

The participation of Civil Protections

A key element of the days was the contribution of the Civil Protections of Tolmezzo and Cividale del Friuli. Their presence made it possible to enrich the activities with real examples, field experiences, and first-hand accounts of how communities can prepare for and respond to critical events.

Through their intervention, students were able to better understand the role of prevention and collective organization, bringing them closer to the issues of risk management and safety in a concrete way.

Toward the World Forum for Democracy 2025

The results of the EDURES FVG experimentation will not remain confined to the territory: in fact, they will be presented at the World Forum for Democracy 2025 in Strasbourg, in a dedicated event that will include the participation of a delegation from Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Attendance at the Forum will allow the experience to be shared with an international audience and to participate in round tables and presentations dedicated to democratic, educational and community innovations.
