We were in Stockholm, September 26-30, for the sixth plenary meeting of the FirEUrisk project with the ambitious title “Navigating wildfire risk: Integrating perspectives for a unified solution.” After a field visit to Swedish forests to observe ecological successions following wildfires, we gathered to discuss the latest developments and next steps in the project. As ISIG, we presented our ongoing work regarding citizen involvement in fire risk reduction activities: the FirEUrisk participatory model has already been tested in Sardinia and will soon be implemented in Portugal and Greece.
