Inaugurated ISIG’s renovated headquarters: a space open to the future

May 15, 2025 – A moment of great significance for ISIG: the renovated headquarters at 13 Via Mazzini, in the heart of Gorizia, was officially inaugurated. A milestone that marks the start of a new phase, under the banner of growth, sharing and planning.

A concrete investment to strengthen the Institute’s capacity to generate knowledge, facilitate dialogue between local and international actors, and promote innovation and territorial development. The renovated spaces are now ready to host training activities, high-profile workshops and large-scale European planning.

A ribbon cutting, many visions for the future

In the afternoon, the press conference brought together representatives of ISIG’s Members-the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the Municipality of Gorizia, the Carigo Foundation and the Venezia Giulia Chamber of Commerce-for an open discussion on the Institute’s prospects.

President Michela Cecotti emphasized how this renewal represents a strategic milestone:
“It is a concrete expression of our growth. A starting point to continue generating positive impact in the contexts in which we operate.
She then thanked with gratitude all those who, over time, have built ISIG’s history with commitment and dedication.

Speeches included that of Regional Councillor Alessia Rosolen, who acknowledged ISIG’s role as a “valuable tool in the hands of those who really want to innovate,” capable of anticipating key issues for society.

Carigo Foundation President Roberta Demartin recalled the Institute’s roots and its ability to maintain a long and consistent look over time: “A true HUB of peace, consistent in vision, solid in mission.”

Councilor Patrizia Artico spoke of ISIG as an integral part of the “Gorizia system,” enhancing its contribution to the European Capital of Culture.

A place that opens up, a community that grows

At the end of the conference, a convivial moment allowed people to experience the renovated spaces in an atmosphere of participation and exchange. Authorities, partners and collaborators of the Institute toasted together to a shared goal: the construction of a place that combines history, vision and openness to the future.

Heartfelt thanks go to the entire ISIG team, whose professionalism and collaborative spirit made this day possible.

A day that marks a new beginning.
