From August 23-25, ISIG participated in the World Folklore Festival, organized by the association Etnos Gorizia – World Folklore Festival, with an information booth dedicated to the SAFE-CITIES and TRACE projects. Our booth in Gorizia’s Piazza Vittoria was present throughout the duration of the festival, allowing participants to find out more about topics relevant to daily life such as urban safety and freight mobility, especially last-mile mobility within cities. The SAFE-CITIES project, funded by the Horizon Europe program with the aim of improving safety in public spaces through a security-by-design approach, with the cities of Gorizia and Nova Gorica taking the lead as one of the pilot areas. Here we are helping to create the Local Citizens Network (LCN), a collaborative network of citizens and stakeholders to improve public safety, also in view of GO!2025. The TRACE project is also funded by the Horizon Europe program and aims to create a universal platform for planning, optimizing and managing logistics operations. As part of the project, we are promoting a questionnaire open to all citizens to find out more about perceptions of innovative technologies related to automated transportation in order to make mobility more efficient, safe and sustainable.
