From September 4-6, under the auspices of the Council of Europe, ISIG had the honor of organizing a key meeting between Albania and Italy to share best practices on educational inclusion during emergencies. With representatives from Tirana, Kavaja, Durres (Albania) and Friuli Venezia Giulia (Italy), together we explored the adaptation of the EDURES Toolkit to local needs and how to engage stakeholders in creating education-based resilience strategies. The collaboration highlighted the importance of a multi-level engagement approach, bringing together schools, local authorities, Civil Defense, but also families and students, as demonstrated by the success of the Friuli Venezia Giulia pilot project. We extend our thanks to all participants, including the Ministry of Education and Sports of Albania, the Albanian Red Cross, the Municipality of Durrës, and the Education, Orientation and Right to Study Service, Central Directorate of Labor, Training, Education and Family of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Your contributions are crucial to making education more resilient in times of crisis! Together, we are taking important steps to strengthen networks and spread awareness of EDURES at all levels.
