Nova Gorica and Gorica will be the European Capital of Culture 2025

Together Nova Gorica and Gorica will be the European Capital of Culture 2025. An announcement that came from the Slovenian Committee and was greeted with a great roar at the Transalpina Square where the inhabitants of the two border cities had gathered.
This recognition aims to protect cultural richness and diversity, enhance the common characteristics of the peoples and develop a system that can generate an important economic spin-off in the years to follow.
