ODYSSEUS Project: ISIG participates in second phase of pilots in Romania

From July 15 to 18, ISIG participated in ODYSSEUS project activities in Romania, contributing to the ethical evaluation of the second series of pilot tests dedicated to new technologies for border control.

After the sixth plenary meeting, held on July 14 in Iași, the project partners moved to two key locations for field activities:

  • Ungheni, for Train Pilot 2 (July 15-16).

  • Albita, for Land Pilot 2 (July 17-18).

During these days, innovative, noninvasive technologies were tested under real operating conditions to evaluate their effectiveness and impact in frontier settings.

ISIG provided support by taking care of the ethical evaluation of the tested solutions, with a focus on the practical implications for the people, operators and systems involved.

An important contribution at a crucial stage of the project, which aims to develop advanced, reliable and rights-compliant tools for modern and sustainable management of European borders.
