The PREVENT project is a pioneering initiative aimed at recognizing, understanding and overcoming the barriers associated with childhood obesity in Europe. Given the complex nature of these challenges, PREVENT considers the economic, legal, social, cultural and structural factors that contribute to this problem.
In essence, PREVENT is committed to establishing a robust framework for the ongoing evaluation and validation of new policies. Once developed, the project’s evidence-based strategies will be widely adaptable and implementable, ushering in transformative change in combating childhood and adolescent obesity and reducing cancer risk.
