SUMMA: project for sustainable, borderless mobility between Italy and Croatia kicks off

Back at work for borderless mobility in Italy and Croatia.
SUMMA kicked off with the kick-off meeting held last July 18 in Caorle. The meeting, attended by the 8 project partners, was important to pick up the thread of the previous SUTRA project, which also focused on sustainable mobility in tourist areas, and to network the first new project actions. SUMMA will explore and put into practice a number of innovative solutions, such as the implementation of a digital platform for the collection of mobility-related services and information, the definition of unique pricing systems, and new connections between access points and tourist areas through zero-emission means of transportation. As part of SUMMA, a project financed by the Interreg Italy-Croatia 2021-2027 Program, ISIG is coordinating WP1 (cross-border strategic framing of initiatives related to sustainable mobility): activities include a part of analysis of existing connections and the potential for their development, and a part of defining the strategy to connect ports, airports, railway stations and urban areas by enhancing intermodality and promoting the use of sustainable means of transport. The strategy will be developed through a process involving the participation of stakeholders with a view to co-producing the solutions envisaged by the project.
