Content: Second volume outlining the results of research among Istrian-Dalmatian-Fiuman exiles and their descendants; the previous volume referred to the results of fieldwork among exiles at the time displaced in Italy; this one is about those who resumed their lives abroad, in Argentina and Canada. The findings and analysis based on interviews with members of the two communities are presented here, following a track that leads to an in-depth exploration of the themes of exodus memory, places of remembrance and everyday life, childhood language and dialect, and identity dispersed and passed on to subsequent generations. The concluding chapter carries out a comparative analysis of the three exile communities – in Italy, Canada, and Argentina – and develops some hypotheses about the possible future of the exiles’ identity and sense of belonging.
