Workshops for the participatory development of scenarios for Maritime Spatial Planning and Biodiversity Conservation in the Northern Adriatic, Strait of Sicily and Northern Tyrrhenian Sea. The workshops are organized by CNR ISMAR (Institute of Marine Sciences of the National Research Council), coordinator of the MSP4BIODIVERSITY project, with technical support from ISIG (Institute of International Sociology of Gorizia). MSP4BIODIVERSITY is a project funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRP) under Mission 4 and is part of the activities of the National Biodiversity Center (NBFC)(www.nbfc.it). The project is coordinated by CNR ISMAR and involves 12 partners, including Research Institutions and Universities. The project aims to identify solutions to counter the loss of marine biodiversity and promote sustainable management of marine resources.Between 2023 and 2025, MSP4BIODIVERSITY aims to strengthen the Maritime Spatial Planning process, ensuring that recently approved National Plans promote balanced development of the marine economy, integrating biodiversity conservation and restoration objectives.
