Title: Professionalism and Dedication in NGOs for Peace. Where to find the point of synthesis Author: Cingolani G . Year: 2008 Publisher: ISIG Pages: 92
Language: Italian
Content: In peace NGOs, goals are not well defined and are strongly imbued with the ideology of peace and development that has matured in the country of origin. The human component is also very ideologically oriented and often convinced that dedication can make up for shortcomings in technical professionalism.
Actions oriented more by starting values than professionalism are unlikely to produce effective results. Therefore, the need for professional training that is articulated around the most effective actions, the culture of the place where the action is carried out, and the rationality of the sequences in which the action is articulated is highlighted.
