Description: ProAdrias aims to develop the protection of European Critical Infrastructures and provide responses to reports of potential terrorism risk in the Adriatic basin. The project is part of the EU’s “critical infrastructure protection” program. The Adriatic Seaway has been promoted for a year now as a key infrastructure and logistics node for the development of European economies in their relations with southern Mediterranean countries, the Black Sea Region and the Middle East. Critical infrastructure protection mechanisms are a crucial aspect of security processes and regional development of European maritime regions. The goal of the project is to develop a set of recommendations for the EU and regional authorities that will lead to the strategic civil defense plan to counter natural and human threats against the Adriatic Seaway.
