Description: ISIG conducts a study on European experiences of citizen participation in cross-border governance, covering the following aspects:

• Analysis and description of cross-border European initiatives (“Euroregions” or similar entities) with regard to the civic participation dimension (at least five experiences and their main characteristics, particularly aspects of civic participation);
• Evaluation of the effectiveness of participatory mechanisms and their impact on the decision-making procedures of cross-border initiatives;
• identification of issues of importance at the European level, including through a European conference or the use of European legal instruments.
