Period: May 2015
Description: The research aims to contribute in a structured and scientific way to the debate on the phenomenon of asylum seeker arrivals, with a specific focus on the city of Gorizia. The study draws a detailed picture of arrivals, investigating the profile, the reasons but also the future prospects of asylum seekers, laying the groundwork for a more complex analysis that can see the regional ‘reception system’ itself as the protagonist, put in relation to the external stressor (immigration).
