Activity I: PARTICIPATORY STRATEGIC PLAN OF THE CITY OF TIRANA
Period: 2022-2023
Description: Support in the development of the strategic plan of the city of Tirana through the application of the Civic Participation Toolkit.
This service included the following activities:
- Scientific coordination of the working group
- Context analysis
- Training meetings with local experts on the application of the Civil Participation Toolkit
- Participatory process planning
Activity II: CIVIL PARTICIPATION – TRAINING AND PLANNING ACTIVITIES – CAPITALISATION WINTER SCHOOL (ALBANIA, BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA, MOLDOVA, UKRAINE)
Period: 2022
Description: ISIG contributed to the development of the Winter School for Civil Participation in Tbilisi Georgia (December 2021). In addition, ISIG was invited to contribute to the capitalization activities of the Winter School. Specifically, the following services were requested and implemented:
- Training Needs Assessment (TNA) for Winter School participants for the purpose of follow-up activities for 2022.
- Development of a training plan and operational calendar.
- Design and delivery of in-depth online training sessions on the CPT TOOLKIT – for Winter School participants (1 online plenary session, 6 country-specific online sessions).
- Conceptualization and implementation of in-depth face-to-face training sessions on the CPT TOOLKIT for Winter School participants in Albania (3 days expert training).
- Helped design and facilitate the 3-day closing event in Tirana, Albania.
Activity III – CIVIL PARTICIPATION – TRAINING AND PLANNING ACTIVITIES – CAPITALISATION WINTER SCHOOL (IN GEORGIA).
Period: 2022
Description: Contribution to capitalization activities regarding the future dissemination and implementation of the CPT Toolkit in Georgia, under contract 8762/ISIG/01-05, through the following activities:
- Training sessions of trainers/experts (ToT) on civil participation for 2.5 days in Kakheti, Georgia, March 22-24, 2022.
- CPT Toolkit presentation and facilitation of a discussion during a high-level institutional meeting (March 21, Kakheti).
- Development of the concept and agenda for training of trainers (ToT) on CPT.
- Develop and adapt training materials (presentations, practical exercises, questionnaires, etc.) to the Georgian context.
- CPT presentation (including practical sessions) for the Academy on Participatory Democracy in the Kakheti region.
- Development of a (online) guide for CPT presentation to the Academy on Participatory Democracy for the Kvemo Kartli region.
- Drafting of final report on ToT on CPT and recommendations.
Activity IV – BePART
Period: 2021-2023
Description: Project to develop the CIVIC PART DATA online platform (concept, preparatory study, technical digital facility, graphic identity) for promoting good practices of civic participation in decision-making, based on input from NGOs, public authorities and the research world. Authorities at local, regional and national levels, as well as other stakeholders who want to develop participatory practices on any topic, including sustainable development, can consult the compendium to find inspiration, information and contact details of organizers of existing civil participation initiatives.
