ELoGE Malta
Edition 2025-2026
First edition of the European Seal of Excellence in Governance, produced in collaboration with the Local Councils’ Association of Malta and ISIG.
The ELoGE Seal is a prestigious award given by the Council of Europe to local authorities that demonstrate a high level of good governance. The award takes the form of a crystal dodecahedron, on which each of the twelve faces carries one of the 12 Principles of Good Democratic Governance, which guide local government action toward transparency, participation, accountability and quality of services.

Sign up for the first ELoGE in Malta to learn about the program that will engage numerous Local Councils in an assessment and growth journey based on the 12 Principles of Good Democratic Governance. Through targeted tools-from self-assessment for Local Councils and their administrators to dedicated questionnaires for employees and citizens-each entity will be able to analyze its own performance and activate concrete, participatory improvement processes.
Registration is managed by the Local Councils' Association (LCA) of Malta and will remain open until December 31, 2025.

Evaluation and assignment
The National Evaluation Platform will analyze and verify the submitted documentation.
The final results will be communicated to all participating Local Councils.
OCTOBER 2026
Awards Ceremony
Successfully evaluated Local Councils will be officially recognized by the Council of Europe and the Local Councils' Association of Malta.
